Auction Seller inexperienced or lacking confidence, often want their ads to more spectacular and exciting. They fear that buyers will be bored by their auction and turn away with indifference.
Hence, the reason is the aroma of your auctions with some “fun” - graphics, Flash, change colors, spin, travel around the city.
Or that the seller could be a technology person who likes toys, and proud of our ability, unusual effects.
Regardless of their reasons, animated elements on the page in the auction is almost never a good idea for the following four reasons:
1st Rather than draw attention to items in the auction, your potential customers can see the spinning ball or follow Santa and his reindeer through the sky. We want customers full attention to the vital question: “Do I want to buy this trick or not?” It is not good for your wallet.
2nd Animation can be downloaded auction advertising much longer. I’ve been using DSL four years, and they forgot (thankfully!) Horrible as using a telephone line. So it’s not too many places on this planet, not just high-speed connections. For these people, the burden of your page can last forever, and you can be sure that does not wait. The experts tell us that the average user spends only 7 seconds on a Web page before it for a better life. If the realization of your download page, there is no sale for you.
3rd It takes time for you to find out whether and how the animation. It is time that it would be better to write more interesting and dynamic copy - a copy of it to potential customers in the real buyer. Smart business people will try their precious time and spend it on something that is most likely that the sale.
4th Many of them are so annoying, frankly. I personally do not enjoy watching the screens, Twirling, swirling and flashing. Two particularly annoying animations are inevitable communication that up and down the left side, no matter where I look, and the “means” to follow my mouse.
The vast majority of people feel the same, apparently. Vendors must make it as easy as possible for people to buy rather than obstacles in the way.
There are times in which animated pictures have no value at auction advertising? Perhaps. For example, if you sell for graphic designers then animated elements may be appropriate. As always, test, test, test is the only way to really know.
But for the rest of us, people - forget about brightness and focus of their products. That is what makes us buy.
