Why some companies bidding for keywords for the products they sell? Or not to man, basic information necessary for the decision to buy? Here is a fairy tale of caution - with a Happy End.
A kind you ever?
I’m looking online for offal. I will go to Google and click on the link above to the right column: Expo.com. I am taken for their “fans light and” page. There are 29 links in the left navigation, but not offal. Ie to search by keyword. Products found = 0 All I can do is wonder why they wasting my time and money, and you move on the next screen.
CLOSE but no cigar.
A click on the second, takes me to a page with a “Shades” tab. I click on that, and come from a page with information about the sizes and a link to the lamp shade collection.
I begin to navigate and find I am interested in reminds me of the text “Click on the image for the lamp detail.” I guess they mean lamp silhouette. I click on, and to my surprise, I see exactly the same gallery I was in the research, but now I have four choices of colors and an ad Cart “button.
OK, I am a designer. I can appreciate the subtlety. But what is the difference between white, off-white, beige and coffee? All shows me this page is a bit gray image - but “Dirty” is not a choice of color.
I see the phone number free top of the page. I ask (during normal office hours) and get voice mail. You say that my demand is very important to her, but I’m not so sure …
‘S Third time the charm?
Back to Google, click on another title for me to a page lampshade (yay!). I can sort by different criteria of nine, but I do not know exactly what I want.
There is a link to talk to a lighting device and advisers. I’m skeptical, but I call it. Telephone someone answers! I say what I want and I’m told I need his own shadow. This company is not, but counselors relates to my other two places where I can to make nuances.
Even if I do not find what I was looking I really enjoy this experience. I would like to return to this site and its operations with that company in the future.
The moral of the story
Do you have respect for your customers. Do you think their needs and do everything you can answer. If you advertise a product for sale should be on your site. If you expect the man to make a choice, pictures and information they need to feel comfortable decision. And even if you do not have to sell today, it can and should be a good customer experience, because there is always tomorrow.

If you have an ad for a product to sell your site, should this product. Save money bids for keywords for products not sell.
If someone clicks on your ad should be taken to a page relevant destination. Do not people around the hunting or search on your site. Show them what they need immediately.
The information they need for a good decision. Do not rely only guess what your product is “really” like.
