Long copy sales letters on: Hype or not?

I long ago copy sales on the Internet. But I have to say about that.

First, let me be clear on what I have to say here. I am not talking about long pages of content in dozens of other pages on a website. I speak of stand-alone-pages … a long letter of reply directly online, often with a domain name.

In addition, I would like to say how long copy works online and offline.

If someone can draw the attention of your letter, a long page gives you more space for all the benefits, based on all the features and a wide range of issues and concerns of readers. As long as the writing is dynamic and keeps the reader, people continue to increase.

And you’ll have a better conversion rate as if you have a page shorter. This applies both offline and on the Internet.

However, what I found was two different approaches for the long term, online distribution of writing. Both work, but also in several ways.

Long copy style # 1: Sale of Hype

You probably know the type of my page. Here is an example for the type of copy you can expect:

“Now back to life? Do the same routine is praised by experts as a true” … a new, breakthrough is likely to cause the man has more millionaires status of “Think & Grow Rich”, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” and “The Science of Getting Rich” combined “”

The copy style is fast, with one set of superlatives, with thick bounced and promises not with descriptions of people who appear at their wheats amphetamines.

The presentation of these sales pages is quite consistent. Many subtitles and stress dash. A panting speed … and the promise of a better life. Success. Wealth. Happiness.

Well, we all want to be happy and most of us can do with some other well-being.

But how is it that this concept works so well? Many of us in these letters and believe not. And many of us say that, ever convince such an approach. But hundreds of thousands of people.

How is it that? This approach has a copy quality is hypnotic. He made promises with such strength and enthusiasm. And anyway, it draws us in a state of the presentation. We refer Wave endless promises and testimonials. We succumb to the idea that maybe, just maybe … This could be the work … and we can see that happiness or additional wealth.

And yes, you also turn the critical faculties, from time to time. If you’ve already bought a lottery ticket you in this “show” … If your desire for a better future, to overcome your thought process more efficient. Hey, somebody has to win. Right?

The same is true if you had the feeling that your brain go soft in the face of a passionate car or electronics seller. Half of your brain knows you will be convinced to buy additional features that you do not need and probably can not afford. The other part of your brain whispers in your ear, “Hey Mann, chill. It feels good. Go with the flow, you hear the man.”

This is done to us, if we want to hear what we hear. If we want that to be true. If we can make us dream.

This is how Hype works. It deepens our state of the presentation and creates a dream state near the optimism.

And it works.

The meaning of this approach is that most of us dream to wake up and see that the promises were empty. Or to express it otherwise, we have the ticket, but not to win the lottery.

So if your goal is long-term relationships with your readers, customers and prospects, with Hype is not the way to go.

Long copy style # 2: Sale of a human link

The second type of copy-time approach is very different. In addition, it is often the stand-alone pages, many screens. Again, positions, subtitles, references and dashes.

But you will find a very different style of writing.

If you’ve never read a letter from Bill Bonner, Ken Evoy or Allan Gardyne … This is the kind of writing I am talking about.

It is still passionate letters … the pace and you always draws down, line by line.

But some differences are here, and they are of great importance.

- In the text you hear is the real voice of the writer. You are not sold with a copy of “Dream-O-Matic 2000″ - They are recognizable by a human voice, the voice of Bill, or Ken Allan.

- They are not succumb to the State that the model of dream and suspension of your critical capacity. They remain very rational and very clear in your thinking.

- You hear a voice that sounds and feels much more trustworthy.

- You do not have to suspend your disbelief. Instead, you have well-being and believe what you read.

At the end of a letter like this, make a choice … buy or not buy. And it is a choice, you are much less regrettable.

Online sales of letters that the children of traditional direct response in writing. Direct-mail is good writing in this second track - a genuine connection with the player and earn money or trust.

It is a great upside to this approach. It develops trust and loyalty. If your strategy is the list of happy customers and prospects who come again and again is the style you want to adopt.

Conclusions

Long copy works, and works in more than one way.

If you reach an audience large enough (no small power) and want any money, right now, Hype could work for you.

But if you want to build a long-term regular customers … and you give your target group with an enthusiasm that is built on a foundation of honesty and respect for your readers.
